Aims2Cure are proud recipients of
The Lady J Helping Hand Award 2010
Aims2Cure are one of three recipients to receive a Helping Hand Award
2010 at The Norwood Annual Dinner in November. The Helping Hand Award
highlights “unsung heroes” who try and make a difference to other
people’s lives and who inspire others to do the same. They recognise
dedication and commitment to helping others. This year, there were over
80 nominations. A specialist panel including Gillian Fenner, the
Executive President of the Helping Hand Award Selection Panel, Norma
Brier, the Chief Executive of Norwood, Daybreak and television presenter
Kate Garraway and Esther Rantzen OBE selected Aims2Cure together with
two others and we were presented with a formal commendation certificate
and a grant on the evening of Norwood’s Annual Dinner in November.
Aims2Cure feel honoured and privileged to have been nominated and then
selected as one of the recipients. It was exciting to have been present
at such a star studded and inspiring evening which we shared with Simon
Cowell, The Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, Kate Garraway to name but a
few. Norwood provide an essential service to children and families and
we can only hope to follow in their amazing footsteps.
